Welcome to the jamesbondwatches.com website! We're glad you found us.

As we said on Home Page, our goal is to be the most comprehensive resource available when it comes to James Bond Watches: History, technology, and marketing. More importantly, we strive to be accurate and accountable. That means we cite our resources, particularly in cases where there may be doubt or controversy. It also means a lot of original, in-depth, and primary-source material.

We never simply copy a reference for the sake of building content here. Thus, this study of "the James Bond watch" may be slow-going at times, with subjects coming online perhaps not so quickly as you might like. Be patient. Among other things, new and vintage watches of the sort that appeal to the tastes (and product placement interests) of 007 are not inexpensive. And no one wants to buy the "wrong" watch because the reference wasn't as accurate as possible. The priorities for this James Bond watch site development are, then, in order:

    1.   Get it right
    2.   Get it complete
    3.   Be unique
    4.   Be first

Some believe the line is blurred with movies when it comes to the subject of fake and replica watches. We do not; you won't find them here in any way, shape, or form. To the best of our knowledge, every watch photograph shown on this site is genuine to the brand indicated. That doesn't mean that every watch is the actual piece to have been worn by 007, nor even the closest commercially available model; so if you're looking for reference images, be sure to note where we've indicate those as such here. See "How to Grade Watches Based on Movie Affiliations" for possible variations [link].

That said, check out our Weblog for work-in-process and news we're able to break. [link]

James Bond Watches has no "site map," per se. Rather, our navigation structure appears at the bottom of each page. The top line has what we consider the essentials. The next big section links to all current James Bond story titles we're examining (with more to be added), in alphabetical order. Section three references current brands for wristwatches that James Bond is known to have worn, including a link to "Other" manufacturers. Last but not least, we've provided links to content that cuts across and sometimes expands on everything else.

Terms of use for this James Bond watch site appear at the very bottom of each page. Please respect all copyrights here, ours and those of others. It's not easy to support an effort like this, and you can do your part to help by referring visitors back here, as opposed to simply cutting and pasting our content elsewhere.

Finally-- James Bond Watches, its author, and ownership are in no way connected to any watch brand, distributor, or manufacturer, nor the publisher of any James Bond novel, nor the producers of any 007 film or television program. We are completely independent and free of any financial incentive to bias this presentation.

Thanks for visiting this site. Have fun!
